Bitcarrier won the Judges Pick and DEXMA won the People’s Vote Awards as IBM SmartCamp finished up another successful leg of its global competition, this time in beautiful Barcelona, Spain. The competition now heads to New York City where the Final 5 are soon to be announced.
Judges Pick: Bitcarrier – “Wireless real-time traffic solutions”
Citysolver is Bitcarrier’s real-time intelligent traffic management and information solution for urban environments specifically designed to satisfy the needs for traffic optimization of local authorities. Citysolver is based on wireless networks technology and takes advantage of the proliferation of mobile devices. It is composed of proprietary hardware (sensors) and software. The Bluetooth and WIFI sensors collect data and send the information to the private cloud platform, which processes and analyzes the data and finally delivers it to a web client. Citysolver’s visualization platform allows the client to check real time traffic information in the different routes defined. All information regarding travel times, average speeds, traffic volume and origin and destination matrices is delivered to managers directly. The information is also available for users in the web, in dynamic message panels and in their smartphones. Citysolver is an affordable, accurate and easy-to-deploy solution that guarantees total privacy protection for citizens.
