Chris creates new and "slow" media in the classic storytelling tradition, using simple narration, illustrations, music, and found sounds. The narratives are meant to unfold slowly, following a kind of wandering trajectory into the past and present. Chris began as a writer in the far West Village of NYC, and he still writes from his old neighborhood now and then. His narrations are recorded inside an old farmhouse closet in the Hudson Valley countryside. When is the best time to record according to Chris? After the morning newspaper hits the front porch; when the farmer breaks from tractering; and when the air is heavy with the breath of flowers.
