Now potential job seekers can use their phones to find out with a flick of the wrist just who might be in search of someone with their qualifications. New apps created by Nokia for its Lumia smartphones use augmented reality to display openings for interns or permanent staffers. “You’re able to point your phone at a building and see the jobs available at companies there, and also the people you know at that company,” says a Nokia spokesman. The apps, Internship Lens and Job Lens, simplify the process of finding contacts by automatically connecting with LinkedIn and Facebook to identify people with whom you and a hiring manager share a connection.
